Cirkle Celebrates CSR Award Win at PRCA Awards | November 2011
One of the biggest nights in the PR industry calendar took place last night at the London Park Lane Hilton Hotel, and Cirkle is thrilled to have walked away with one of the prestigious awards.
Fighting off tough competition from Starbucks, Selfridges, Arla Foods and EDF Energy, Cirkle picked up the Corporate Social Responsibility Award for its Typhoo Sports for All initiative which saw the tea brand partnering with the English Federation of Disability Sports to devise a coaching programme to make sport accessible to all.
The initiative utilised brand ambassador Martine Wright, survivor of the 7/7 London bombings, to encourage community sport coaches to take part in this fully funded sports accreditation which would allow them to include disabled men, women and children in their classes and clubs.
The initiative achieved dream primetime TV coverage on GMTV, Daybreak, Sky News and London Tonight. Quality editorial coverage also appeared in 70% of national newspapers including standout features in the Independent on Sunday, Sunday Telegraph and News of the World plus mainstream women’s press.
The showcase campaign fulfilled all 500 coaching places and created demand for further courses, achieved key message delivery in 100% of coverage, delivered an ROI of 365:1 and increased volume sales by 20% for Typhoo Tea.
Cirkle also won the Highly Commended award for Consultancy of the Year.
