We’ve now entered the second year of our partnership with the charity, Career Ready – where three of our Board mentor sixth formers from Queens’ School, Bushey for a year.
The initiative, which helps to change young lives, speaks to one of core key values – ‘Bring Out The Best’ and this week, the Mentees spent a day at Cirkle HQ to see the workplace in action. Interacting with our Gen Z’s and Millennials who shared career tips over lunch, we also worked with them on brand me, personal values, non verbal comms and presentation skills (filmed in our Broadcast Studio with playback).
“What is a job spec.?”, “What is an appraisal?”, “Do you get told off in the workplace?” “Do you run staff awards?” “What’s an NGO?” – just some of the great questions we had from them. At just sixteen, their experience already includes completing four years in The Police Cadets and their aspirations include being an Entrepreneur and wanting a career in finance … we just know they’re going to achieve it too. Every day’s a school day as we too continue to learn so much from our brilliant Mentees!
