Ruth Kieran Promoted to CEO

Following two years as our MD,  Ruth Kieran has been promoted to CEO.   Heading up our 4-strong Board and reporting into Chairman, Caroline Kinsey, Ruth will be responsible for determining our strategic vision whilst continuing to reinforce our ‘benchmark for excellence’ credentials.

Under Ruth’s leadership, we’ve expanded our retail division (bringing in high street brands Caffè Nero and the UK’s leading petcare business – Pets at Home), as well as growing our leading-brand portfolio by winning Birds Eye, Gu, Goodfella’s, Aunt Bessie’s, Britvic (J2O, Robinsons, Purdey’s, Pepsi Max), Urban Fruit and Bear in competitive pitches.

Prioritising team wellbeing and cementing our reputation for employee engagement, Ruth’s tenure has seen Cirkle crowned no. 1 for mental health, whilst putting the PR industry on the map as the first comms agency to win at the Business Culture Awards.  As well as sitting on MAAG’s Advisory Board and chairing its Diversity Group, Ruth continues to spearhead Cirkle’s ‘Diversity of Thought’ initiatives through partnerships with Career Ready, PRCA’s Schools Outreach programme and BME PR Pro’s The Blueprint Advisory Board.

“Ruth’s calm, unflappable style, coupled with her vision and drive for success, inspires the team to bring their best selves to work every day, resulting in outstanding team and client retention.  Ruth has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, and I know Cirkle is in the safest of hands to continue on its incredible trajectory. With our expanding London base, our employee ownership model, our enviable client portfolio, and our brilliant culture, we are already set up for 2020 to be our best year ever.” says Caroline Kinsey.

“Over the last two years, Cirkle has gone from strength to strength – fantastic new client wins, attracting exceptionally talented people and of course becoming employee-owned, which means our collective success positively impacts every member of the team. I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved together, and as we move into the new decade, I know we will continue to push the boundaries individually, as a team and for our clients.” Ruth Kieran.
