On World Mental Health Day (10th October) we were proud to sign an employer pledge with Time to Change – the social movement run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness charities – encouraging people to open up about mental health problems. We join a movement of 800+ organisations that have signed up including PepsiCo, British Gas, Ernst & Young, TfL, Royal Mail, Barclays, Shell and M&S.
By signing the pledge, we’re continuing to help change the way teams and stakeholders think and act about mental health in the workplace and our ‘Workplace Warriors’ have implemented a multi-layered plan for our team including wellbeing days, talks from mental health charity Mind, mindfulness sessions, resilience workshops, Employee Assistance Programme and Yoga.
Our MD, Ruth Kieran, said “This initiative demonstrates our commitment to eradicating the stigma and industry inertia around mental health. With one in six UK workers dealing with anxiety, depression or stress, and of those, nine out of 10 experience discrimination, it’s an issue we all need to tackle. Cirkle is committed to taking action and making time to talk about what’s often hidden.”
